Our Milk, Produce and Newspaper Delivery Business
F E O Shone & Son was founded in 1920 by the late Frederick Edward Owen Shone. He was a traditional Milkman and, based from his Wybunbury home, he collected milk in churns from local farms and then delivered it directly to the doorsteps of homes in the Gresty Road area of Crewe via his trusty horse and cart.

Mr Shone worked alone for many years until the early 1950s, when his son Frederick Edward Shone joined the business, which, over time, slowly expanded and by the late 1970’s milk deliveries were being made via a fleet of electric milkfloats throughout the Crewe and Nantwich area.
Generations of Success
In the mid 1980’s the company undertook deliveries of Newspapers and Magazines and continued to grow further, with Frederick Edward’s son Fred joining the business in 2000, who today currently manages the firm’s daily operations. Presently the business serves around 6000 household and business customers with milk, groceries and papers spanning a 30 mile radius from the original Wybunbury base near Nantwich.
We continue to supply quality milk and dairy produce sourced from local Cheshire farms via our main supplier Creamline Dairies – using a fleet of vehicles slightly more modern than a horse and cart!
